Thanksgiving smells like gravy

Well now that we have Thanksgiving over and gone I am back...and better than ever or something. I took a break from Blogging during the break as you may have noticed therefore I did not do any kind of "What I'm Thankful For" list. But I do want to say that I am very thankful for my friends. All y'alls! Seriously, all the time i spend with you guys are definately the highlights of my life. Whether we are sitting around joking or having the rare serious conversation it is all truly enjoyable. I am the kind of person that doesn't choose best friends because I just love so many of you and I hope none of you ever think I don't care what you're going through because I pray for you guys a lot! Sometimes I do have trouble asking what's up but you really can come to me at any time (even at 3:00 AM Rachel cause I'm probably up anyway).

Well with that out of the way...I am really looking forward to Christmas break now. It's not even really Christmas that I look forward to as much as all the free time around it! I get to hang with my "patnas", spend time with family, help cook (yes I do enjoy cooking at times), stay up late and sleep in. All the good stuff. I do miss people here at Cedarville during breaks but I'd still rather be home. I really do love Springfiled I guess.

Alright, after a bit of randomness and various topic discussion I will close with this fonal thought...this weather sucks! I mean c'mon, rain in late November...I say bring on the snow!

Poor Little Guy

Wow, amazing weekend! I can't get over how fun it is to always hang around you guys and how amazing God is all at the same time! I'll tell you what, God seemed to really be hitting people hard, like I've never seen before, all at once! It was so amazing to see I broke down in tears myself. Honestly, I love giving out and praying for people sometimes more than I like to take it in. I just love all the students so much and my heart is to see them grow and change. Don't get me wrong, God messed me up too but it was from a totally different perspective this time.

I just want to remind everyone, similar to what Josh said, don't let the devil tell you that it was all fake. Don't ever fall into the lie that it was simply an emotional experience. Only The God can send guys bawling on each others shoulders, only God can cause everyone to hit the floor and give Him everything they were holding on to, only He can can make 50 of the most worn out people keep jumping up and down for long periods of time. Don't forget how awesome he is, I mean honestly, look at the freakin universe! These things DON'T happen by chance!

Anyway, I will leave you all with this completely absract and totally off topic video as my final thought...chemistry can be fun sometimes!

40th Post

I have reached new heights! Post #40 is here. What is special about this post you may ask? Well...the number, duh! That's really all that is special. But I think it's pretty cool myself. I mean look at all we've been through together in this blog:

My very first post in which i detailed my new experiences in college including hot chicks being all over me and an endless amount of pointless meetings. Good times.

My birthday two months ago which was a delight. I later had a suprise b-day party at church (I really didn't see it coming!). Shortly after that, I opened my very first Flikr account.

One of my favorite posts was when i slammed Xanga so hard! It was truly a delight making fun of all those poor confused people and their impossible to read pages. Ahhh, the glory it brought me.

My favorite blog so far was of course my first "Visual Blog" fusing text with pictures FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!!...probably, I've never seen done before. Anyway, as i promised, the next one is still coming soon, still don't have my camera back so it probably won't be till after the retreat but I assure you, it WILL be worth the wait...

Well it was nice to look back on all those good memories, good times, and good stuff. So, untill next time, don't let "The Man" keep you down...

Haloooooo! (2)

Wow, i played Halo 2 last night till about 5AM and it was a delight! The game is awesome and it runs so darn smooth...it's so pretty *tear*. But for those of you who are not into that sort of thing, I just want to tell you that you are missing out guys. I highly reccomend this game to...well pretty much everybody...unless you don't enjoy fun.

The photo blog will be postponed untill further notice because my crap faced brother has my digital camera till whenever. But that's fine, you will all just have to wait. I am very sleepy now so I am gonna pass out right about here. Untill next time, Elmo says to get up off his back...or something.

PKI

Kings Island is a magical place! I had a great weekend going there, Applebees, Church, and the McPhereson residence. Nothin but fun! Kings Island was so awesome because there were pretty much no lines the whole day and we rode most everything (except the Delerium...the best ride in the world!) but it was great and good! All music night was interesting as always. I really only saw Joel's band (Sorry man, i forget what it's called) and they were great. We also had drama practice. We are doing a drama that Emily wrote and it's really good! We are doing it at the retreat so be ready for that.

Well, that's all for now. I should have a photo blog coming up soon for you guys so be ready for that! Till then.....

Darwin On Trial

I am reading a really cool book called Darwin on Trial by Phillip E. Johnson and this guy is amazing! I have never realized how many holes the evolution theory had in it. I knew it had holes in it but i never knew that it pretty much has no base whatsoever. Everything they base evolution on can be easily refuted and disproved time and time again.

I highly reccomend this book to anyone who believes in Creationism and wants to understand more why evolution makes no sense. I also reccomend it to anybody who believes in evolution, it will set you straight on what you think scientists "know". This book talks a lot about how everytime there is a hole in an evolutionary theory, scientists just patch it up with another one. Once a hole is found in the patch they start using circular logic to weasel their way off that topic and accuse people of attacking an obvious scientific "truth".

After reading just the first two chapters it is unbelievable that they teach this and only this in our public schools as "fact" with no opposing views. Personally, I am 100% convinced that humans alone are so extremely complex that no random process of natural selection and mutations could ever bring us into existance. Only one, all powerful creator could do such a thing. If you want to debate me on it, bring it on! I am now well prepared.

Indecision 2004

As most of you know by now, Bush has won his second term in office as Kerry recently gave his Concession Speech! Although this is amazing news there are many other issues you may not know about...here they are:

-11 of the 11 proposed Ban on Gay Marriage amendments passed, most by pretty hefty margins. These passed in states including Utah, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Ohio, and many others.

-Although Alaska failed to legalize Marijuana, Oregon has approved Medical Marijuana.

-Florida passed a Parental Notification law requiring minors to have parental permission to have an abortion.

-California approved using tax money for Stem Cell research.

Many other thing happened which I am not at liberty to discuss due to national security issues but I do want to say that for the most part I am please with the results. Now we may continue to KILL ALL TERRORISTS!!! Whooo!

Minority Party

When you see a group of minorities together on a mostly white college campus one of two things is going on. There is either a some kind of a racially oriented political meeting or they are shooting pictures for the latest university catalog. This was the second one.

I don't know why but universities always put those few minorities on their catalogs and promotional material. I don't really understand this. At Cedarville we have like 12 non-caucasians but they are ALL put on the front page of our catalog every year. Like this will make people want to come here MORE! "Now way, if I go to Cedarville I can hang out with African Americans, Asians, and whoah...even Canadians!" Seriously what's going on with this way of thinking. We know you don't consist of mostly minorities...cause then they wouldn't be minorities!

I am definately not saying anything against these minorities, I just think it's wierd how universities try to portray themselves as melting pots. Honestly, I didn't come here to meet minorities, I came here to play in the pretty leaves that I saw on the second page of the catalog!
