Dial 555-design...

I found the most awesomest website ever yesterday. It's called 555design. This dude is amazing. Everything he does is excellent and inspiring to me. He does everything from sweet wallpapers, interesting photography, and my favorite an online magazine.

He does it all and does it very well. I found him on PixelGirl's website and instantly fell in love. You can now find his link under "Photos". I highly reccomend him, he is my new role model!

Lay Off My Shirt Man!

I got this really cool "army" shirt from the Ogdens and i wore it to class today. In the cafeteria today some guy randomly decided it was his day to be big stuff and take charge. I am innocently pouring myself a bowl of Captain Crunch when all the sudden Mr. Big Stuff comes up to me. He mumbled something and i said, "What?" and he repaeted, "You have to take off those patches." What the crap dude! These are my patches fair and square! Not to mention there is only one patch on this shirt anyway, so the other one he is referring to I am unsure of. The one I do know of is an awesome patch and there aint no way I'm taking it off. So despite the "law" that you must remove the patches I simply say, "OK, I'll do that." to avoid further confict with this guy on a power trip or something.

So, my conclusion is that that guy is probably gonna report me or something to the government and I will probably go to jail for war crimes. What kind of a world do we live in where people can walk around with patches on? Anyway, untill they send me away I'll just tell people that I killed a Jedi for this shirt and Yoda said I could keep the patch!

I'm Just A Busy Bee

Wow, I have been really slacking on this thing! Probably because things are going smoothly but busily here. My new job has been keeping me busy and I am enjoying it so far. Learning a lot of audio set up and heavy lifting. But anyway, it is fun so far and I need the money so I can't complain!

I'm sure many of you know about the flu vaccine shortage this country is having. Of course Kerry found a way to blame this on the president but i really don't see it as such a big deal. The only people who should be getting flu shots are people a high risk...like pregnant people for some reason. I have never got one and I haven't really got the flu a whole lot, probably not more than most people. All I know is that the best way to fight the flu is to be a "germ stopper". You can help be a germ stopper by printing out all these cool posters and giving them to friends and family!

A Baseball Ball

I hate BASEBALL!!! It has currently ruined my day. The one thing I enjoy about monday is the football but no, not today! We have watch the retarded playoffs. Friggin Yankees and Red Socks going now into the 11th inning (it finally ended at 14!). I have a feeling it will never end. Every single TV aroung is tuned into this thing and I can't get my football. This is the worst thing that has happened to me in weeks. This is what happens when they don't let you have a TV in your room! Ugh! You guys just don't understand. Anyway, that's my frustration for today...probably for the week. Hopefully I'll be happier tomorrow...

A Welcome Vacation

Fall break, I don't know why they have it but you will certainly hear no complaints from me! Starting yesterday I have no school untill monday...nice! During this time off I plan to accomplish many things with my days such as:

-Catch up on sleep, not that I don't get enough at school I have simply determined that sleep is good and you can never have too much of it. Some people call this laziness, I call it preparation for the next all night study session (or Halo session).

-Have fun, gotta catch up on my free time allowance for this year. Being at college with NO CAR can drag down your chances to blow all you time on stupid stuff. I am good at this and I am glad to be able to do more of it during this week.

-Work hard, I have lots of things I need to get done. First, I have a season to start on in ESPN 2004 (which is awesome). Second, I need to reeducate myself on the latest stuff on the History Channel. I have had no TV for about 3 months! Finally, I need a haircut! Those of you that know me can clearly see that I have been neglecting this for a few weeks now.

So those are my plans, I really do plan to accomplish something eventually...just nothing hard!

John Edwards...isn't that the guy who sees dead people?

I got this really cool e-mail the other day and found it very provocative. I know most people have already decided who they are voting for but maybe a few lost souls will see the light from this information.

Read "Where Bush Got His Orders"

Read "The Truth About the Stats"

I also enjoyed this video that Josh had on his blog.

Vote Bush!!!

Take Me to Your Leader

Youth group was awesome last night because God was able to do so much for so many people. I could tell almost everybody (including myself) was getting a big load of God's love in there!

Something I just wanted to discuss that came up in a recent conversation is why do people in leadership positions always feel like they have to be better than everyone else? Why is it that we can't admit our weaknesses at times? I know I have stuggled with this and even though I know I am not anymore perfect than anyone else that I am still not supposed to mess up. I think also that sometimes those under a leader often think the leader doesn't struggle as much as they do, but it's actually just the opposite!

It's sad that we so often are so worried about our problem that we don't even recognise the stuggles of those around us. I try to pray for leaders at the church and youth group cause I know they stuggle plenty too. Everyone does! I would just like to see more people step out of thier selfish bubble and offer som help to those around them. But it also goes both ways, I know I have gotten to points where I won't offer help to someone because I am struggling. We can lift each other up at the same time is what I'm trying to say. Just don't forget to pray for your leaders, sometimes they need more help than you think.

The Day My Life Was Cut Off

It's sad that my whole life depends on the internet...but it does. And since I got here (at Cedarville) I have not had much of a life! The network is always down, not connecting, or telling me I'm doing something wrong. Windows is very helpful though, it tells me to contact my network administrator...obviously the programmers at Microsoft have never had to try that themselves.

After not getting through to 2 out of the 3 possible phone numbers to call for cumputer help, I deperately dial the third. Knowing that the "computer technician" usually tells me that it's something I'm doing wrong or that this problem is somehow my fault I'm really not expecting much! I finally get through to a person and what do I get? Not much! Even as I wanted to take my anger out on him (even though I knew this wasn't his fault) he calmly told me that our ISP (Internet Service Provider) had shut down to fix some problems. What the heck! You can't just cut off a whole university to fix some problems!

Anyway, the "technician" said we could all meet outside with pitch forks and torches later to attack the ISP. I probably wouldn't be so mad if my internet wasn't "broken" half of the time! Anyway, this is my constant frustration, I guess I just must deal with it!

What the Crap! - A Visual Blog

Finally, I have put together a wonderful story about my life and why it is strange and different! These are things that puzzle me or that I find strange/hilarious. Enjoi.

CU 003
Some idiot was fishing off this thing the other day. What the Crap! How hillbilly can you get...the things got a fountain, it's not for fishing dude!

CU 016
Cedarville is undoubtedly filled with some of the nations best engineering students of today. These are people that will build robots to save the world and crap some day, so what do the have them do? Build friggin cardbord boats...WTC!? I mean c'mon...isn't there something better these students could be doing???

CU 001
Since I am an incredibly lazy person, I have carefully planned my schedule so I can sleep till 9:30 ever day! For some reason, they decided to build a gigantic house right next to my room...the best part, they start banging and hemmering away exactly and hour before I need to be up every morning. WTC dude, I gotta get my beauty sleep in!

CU 002
College math is already the most ridiculous thing ever, no calculators, butt loads of busy work, and tests like every week. To add to my dismay, as we are working on #153 of 500 for the day when all the sudden the prof. realizes the problem is unsolveable without a calculator. What does she do then...give up right...no! She simply slides a "2" in the denominator...WTC....you can't do that! I took precalc in HS and we never learned that!!!! Ugh!

CU 025
Finally my room. WTC, I got the smallest room on campus. I turned in my room request right away...how does this happen to me? I have not seen many rooms that aren't at least twice the size of mine!!! Well...better luck next year.

Well that concludes my visual blog...I hope you enjoyed it...I will try to do at least one of these a month, but that's probably just an empty promise. You can see the full rez pics here. Have a nice day

Another Serious Topic

By Nathan Pruzaniec

We were discussing the possible roles of a Christian in the world of Electronic Media today. It really upsets me that Cedarville works hard to get students plugged into Christian companies almost exclusively. The secular media is where we should be! Those are the people who need good moral influences! Mhy do we think it is wrong for a Christian to write for an "un-Godly" TV show. Maybe that's the only way to get an occasional moral lesson across. It doesn't always have to be about getting people saved, sometimes we just need to be a good example or role model.

Another thing that bothers me is how quick Christian can be to judge in this area! Particularly with the movie Bruce Almighty before they even saw it they were claiming heresy! "A man can't be God!" Duh!!! That's actually what the movies about idiot! I think the movie was a great testimony to the power of God while still being hilarious and showing the conseqences of our actions. You can't deny that the part at the end was extremely powerful when Bruce breaks down and says, "I submit to your will!" and goes on about how God is so awesome and powerful. I say it's one of the few "Godly" movies to come out of Hollywood.
