10 ways to build a better body? 10 ways to organize my life? 10 ways to become rich quick without a pyramid scheme? No. No. No.

10 ways to look at photgraphy in really unique ways? Yes. Not only is this an amazing artistic website, but it's also 10 more ways to waste time on the internet...because we all need more of those.

Everybody should check this out, especially information (second one on page) by summona and "+" (first one) by tomato all sponsored by gettyimages.

Rain Delay

Rain Delay
Originally uploaded by prozaciswack.
That would pretty well describe the game. The delay itself was 2hrs 20min...which was a long wait filled with America's Funniest Home videos and Tom Hanks clips on the Jumbotron. Tom Hanks and Ron Howard were actually at the game which was cool I guess.

After the rain was gone the Reds finally got their act together. Ryan Freel is an animal basically...reminds me of a young Nathan.

Danielle, being the perceptive little person she it, noticed that when they played an intro song for each Reds player, they each had a song that seemed particular to their ethnicity. Even the one Hispanic player had a quite mexican sounding song. It was pretty funny...for us anyway.

Eyes Wide Open

Eyes Wide Open was great. I didn't write about it a whole lot on here so if you're without a clue you can visit the website. All of the art was beautiful and I even bought the one you see to the right...I couldn't resist. It looks so great on canvas and it will be hanging on my new apartment wall...not that we only have one wall...

All the pictures you see on Flickr will be for sale in small format on photo paper through the Eyes Wide Open website in a few months...or you can buy the full set of 24 on canvas for $12,000.

And for the rest of the day today I will be at the Reds game...I anticipate a fun time.

Sucka?

I am a sucker for advertising, I have to admit. No matter how hard I try to convince myself that the platinum spark plug is not worth $5 more each, I usually end up at the checkout counter 10 minutes later buying at least the gold series over the standard cheaper model. Why is that...why am I such a sucker?

Being fascinated by this powerful force which causes me to spend more money than I probably need to, I was looking at some reviews for the new Mac ads. I ran across That is just hilarious and dead on. After watching, I grabbed a box for a MS product I had nearby and they really nailed it...and they should because apparently it was done by MS employees. I pity their graphic designers.

The Glorious Series of Tubes

The internet is a wonderful and glorious place...except when it's not of course...which is fairly often. As the internet has become more useful and more used, it has of course become more dangerous and more annoying (like those flash ads that cover the whole page).

But what if I told you there was an easy way to get rid of all that junk? Something that probably even my mom could do. All you have to do is download a file and replace it for another one and many of the intrusive ads and phishing sites are then rendered "localhosted".

So what is this magic bullet? It's called the hosts file, and you may heave heard of it on the Security Now podcast. Basically what this file does is define domain names for your browser. So before your browser goes across the internet to retrieve the data, it will check the hosts file to see at what IP address that domain name (the www.whatever.com) is found. If you lie to it, and tell it a different IP address (such as localhost 127.0.0.1), then it will not show that annoying flash ad that covers the whole page like a virus.

So with all the explanation aside, all you have to do is download a hosts file and for Windows XP place it in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. You can get it as a text file here (which you would rename from "hosts.txt" to just hosts before you copy it into the folder) or download the zip file, unzip it and open mvps.bat. And you're done...man, there no place like 127.0.0.1.

**Editing this file is also a great way to play pranks on people such as changing their Battlefield 2 (159.153.177.11) website to automatically take them to My Little Pony's (207.162.131.61) website...think of the possibilities...

A Whole New World

Moving back to Cedarville...and so soon this year. That's right, living off campus in the brand new apartment with Phil, Sam, and Derek.

Phil
Red Head | 5' 8 1/2" | International Studies Missiology Major | allergic to belts and willing to allow any girls to stalk him

Sam
Military Man | 5' 8" | Computer Science Major | aspiring Air Force sniper

Derek
Landlord | 5' 5" | Italian Mafioso | apparently doesn't know how to use the internet because he doesn't even have his own URL

Another change for me is that I can actually make calls with Verizon here now. Yep, all 6 bars...which may or may not be a good thing singe I had about $50 of overages last month.

We got this place all painted up and spiffy* fully functioning with WEP protected WiFi. We will have a house warming party soon.

Dud

So now that the Red Rocket is a dud I have been forced to move on although I have pretty much lost all hope in internal combustion engine cars. There's just way to much that can go wrong, and I just can't keep up with that entropy.

Another change that is in process is my moving into the apartment finally. I moved just about all my stuff with the help of Bobby, Rob and a little from my family. In addition to getting my stuff moved, I also managed to score a set of free couches...butt ugly, but free.

Still sitting here at my mighty desk of a throne working those full time hours. As I said last post, life is still crazy and way too full. But I did manage to find some good stuff on the web for you all. The first is the McGruff website teaching kids to stop crime and bullies. I like how McGruff is just sitting there, watching the kids like some creep. The other is Val Kilmer's website found here which I found after watching Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (an amazing movie) because he kept mentioning it throughout the commentary. I love the picture of him right there on the first page.
